In 1984, AB Svenska Returpack launched the deposit system for cans. In connection with the introduction of the deposit system for recyclable PET bottles in 1994, AB Svenska Returpack-PET was also founded. The two companies work together under the common name and brand ‘Returpack’.
Since the 1st of January 2006, a regulation has been in force which all importers and breweries must comply with.
